Universal Soul Care

While many people may now have access to health care, it can’t fix their soul…

On March 21st, 2010 Congress passed historic legislation regarding healthcare in the United States.  Many were pleased, many were angry, but just about everyone had an opinion.  And while this certainly will change the very face of medical treatment of the citizens of the United States, it still can’t fix their soul.

The Bible teaches us that we should not be overly worried about that which goes into our body, but what comes out of it.  Now, this doesn’t mean we are to ignore our health, but it does mean we should keep it in perspective.

For example, we go to the doctor for a routine check-up, right?  And we got get our teeth cleaned every 6 months (or at least you are supposed to, correct?)  But when is the last time you had a routine introspection?  When is the last time you had your soul cleaned?

If truth we told, most of us are more worried about physical health but could care less about our souls.  I encourage you to take a moment and think about the very condition of our soul?  Now is as good a time as any to do so.

In 1 John 1 the Bible reads:

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

So I encourage you to reflect upon these verses and remember God sent Christ to die for our sins…and the offer is open to all for free, a Universal Soul Care.
