Ch 4. Done That

Expectations and Reality are rarely synonymous, especially when dealing with something we have no or very little inside knowledge of.  The following post is explicit, but is designed to inform and educate, not to shock.  If you are easily offended, do not read this post.  Consider yourself warned!

-------Explicit---------

So, remember back in Chapter 2 how I said the most outrageous, yet the most common genre was extreme.  That is the main focal point of this post.  As I stated in my cold intro, this post is not designed to simply shock you. (although it may do so).  Its purpose is two fold.  One, to educate you, my reader, on just how far porn has gone.  Two, to dispel the ridiculous notion that some have that porn should be viewed by couples to assist them in their sex life.  Although there are educational videos out there they are by leaps and bounds the minority.

My research was conducted in the following way:  I used keyword searches on Google and Bing.com (extreme porn, fetish porn, bondage, group sex, etc…) and noted how many results I got.  I also chatted with several current and former adult film actresses who have filmed extreme scenes (via myspace, adult forums, twitter, etc..).  I am not going to write this as if it were an APA research paper, instead I will utilize a loose narrative style, after all this is a blog.

If you are really interested in figures and facts, you can email me.  Also, I did take precautions to protect myself from viewing actual porn by using a Firefox extension called “Adblock Plus” which blocked all the pictures and “NoScript” which blocked any movies.

When a female first enters the world of porn, she understands she will be naked, having sex on camera.  What she usually doesn’t know is the type of sex she will be forced to have in order to survive and make money is not normally the type of sex she has with her boyfriend or husband.  A scene usually lasts between 12-40 minutes and takes anywhere from 1-8 hours to film.  Most actresses have never experienced the following before entering the porn world:

  • A “Gagger”
    • A scene that involves a male actor repeatedly thrusting himself down a woman’s throat until she gags and/or pukes.    The going rate is anywhere between $400-$1,000 dollars.
  •   A “Facial”
    • Over 65% of all pornography scenes end with what is referred to as a facial. It involves a man or several men ejaculating onto a woman’s face and eyes.  Women are not paid extra for this as it is part of the scene.
  • Group Sex
    • Self explanatory- A women has sex with 3 or more men at one time.  Rates are somewhere between $800-$1600
  • Anal Sex
    • Self explanatory.  Rates are between $700-$1400

Others items worth mentioning are the fact that a large majority of porn is focused on the degradation of women, not healthy sexual intercourse.  Women are regularly smacked, slapped, spat upon, choked, gagged, verbally abused, and otherwise objectified.

I also came across a title called “Swirlies”, and according to the description, the women in these movies have their heads shoved in a toilet during and after intercourse.

Another title “Donkey Punch” involved the man punching the woman (closed fist) in the back of the head during anal sex while he climaxed.  Actress Alex Divine reported this to be one of the worst, most traumatic movies she ever filmed.

Still another website, which I will not name, boasts of finding brand new girls who have never done a movie before and putting them through as much abuse as possible until they cry or breakdown on camera.  Going rate for models on that site is between $1500 and $2000.

When the webmaster was confronted on his abusive and predatory like behavior he basically said (using more colorful language) that the girls need the money and I explain everything that is going to happen to them, and they let me do it.

 -------End Explicit---------

I could go on and on, but I hope with the small amount I have posted that you get the point I am so vividly attempting to make.  We can all agree that what is portrayed on screen is not the least bit normal.  The average woman barely lasts a year in porn due to the extreme acts she is forced to perform.  I did not even touch the fact that most actresses also suffer from STD’s as well as other physical problems due to these shoots, but they do.

Another fact to note is that what you see on camera is a highly edited version of what happened.  Every actress I chatted with said that the intercourse is never straight flowing.  They will have sex for 3-4 minutes, then pause, then break, then make up, then sex for a few more minutes, etc…  They are not happy, they are not having a good time.  It is not normal or natural.

In the next post I will talk about how consumers drive this industry and ultimately assist the producers and directors in their mistreatment and abuse of these models.
