Matthew 13:24-52
So, let’s switch from coffee to something different this morning? How about a nice Awake tea or perhaps a glass of grapefruit juice? Whatever your preference, I am glad you joined me this morning for today’s look at the New Testament.
Today’s reading covers several parables including: the wheat and tares, the mustard seed, the leaven, an explanation of the wheat and tares parable, the hidden treasure parable, the pearl of great price parable, the dragnet parable and finally the parable of the householder. Here are some notes: (not in parable format)
The main point of just about everyone one of these parables is that there will come a day when the good will be separated from the bad, the sons of God will be brought unto Him while the sons of the Evil One will be eternally bound with him. Jesus uses very graphic illustrations to make a point that those who reject Him, reject the Truth will be cast out to a place of gnashing of teeth and darkness.
In a nutshell, there will come a time when the judgment will come and we will be judged by what we did with Jesus.
