WELCOME!
This post marks the first in a very long series which I have titled “Bible 365”. I plan on reading the entire Old and New Testament along with all the study notes that accompany each chapter. Since there are over 1,000 chapters it will take quite awhile; It will take one year, hence the title of this series.
-Some Housekeeping-
I am using "The MacArthur Study Bible" (The NASB version, not the NKJV version). I have decided that since this Bible itself has a Bible reading plan in the back, that is the one I will use; this reading plan requires me to read twice a day, everyday. As I stated above, I will be reading the accompanying study notes as to garner a deeper, richer understanding of what The Bible reads.
After reading, I will post a brief summary of my reading and perhaps a personal note or two. As a matter of transparency, I do believe the Bible is the Word of God, so I will be approaching it with said presupposition.
-Why?-
My hope is that I, along with my readers, will both learn and grow with me as I take this journey. I believe that there will be a noticeable, positive change in my life which will be reflected in all aspects of my life, including my writing. I look forward to taking this journey with you. May 2010 be a life changing year for you as I know it will be for me. Happy New Year…I believe twill be.
