Free Speech v. Christian Beliefs

So, how does one reconcile their firm belief in the first amendment with a strong Christian ethic, especially when it comes to things like porn?

Recently, Paul F. Little, better known as Max Hardcore was convicted of obscenity charges and sent to prison.  You can see more about his story on YouTube (warning, explicit content).  He produced and stared in very hardcore and very extreme pornography; the worst of the worst.

As a firm believer in free speech, I believe he in no way belongs in prison for what he does.  He makes a product and sells it to consumers.  It is not a drug, it is not a weapon, it is a movie.  I don’t agree with what he does, but I also believe this could be the start of a slippery slope.

What happens when Christian beliefs become obscene?  Will it only be then that we begin to stand up for the First Amendment?  I believe it is all or nothing, we are either for free speech or we are not.
