So, elect or everyone: Who did Christ die for?
In most theological circles and on almost every Christian campus in the world, this is a highly debated topic. Did Christ die for everyone or did he only die for the predestined? Scripture can be interpreted either way.
He died for everyone
This theory posits that Christ died for everyone, even those He knew would not accept him. The major supporting scriptures for this theory can be found here.

This theory puts forth that since Christ knew who would accept His atoning sacrifice on the cross He only died for those souls, not the souls who already rejected and would reject Him. The major supporting scripture for this theory is found here.
