So, although it may seem like an axiomatic truth to some, others may be wondering "Why plan out meals?" The answer is it allows you the opportunity to "Shop Smarter" and "Eat Better". If your meals are planed out ahead of time, you are much less likely to pick up fast food on your way home; furthermore, when you venture out to the grocery store, having up to 7-10 days of meals planned out ahead of time helps you shop for only those items which you need.
There are many ways you can plan out a food calendar; my wife and I use a small combination “calendar style whiteboard/corkboard”; (see bottom) next to the board we have a stack of "grocery list" style sticky notes and we jot down items we will need for the upcoming week.
I cannot say this system is foolproof, but it is a great start to happier, healthier living; it may also keep a few more pesos in your pocket as well.
